Hello to everyone out there who have started to read this. As you can see from the title, I have not been writing much recently. This has been due to numerous reasons of which are my health not being as good as I would have liked and also just having no time with family and hospital appointments.
It’s now been 7 months since I had round 1 of Lemtrada. While this will not be the same for other patients I have found the treatment extremely hard on my body and have required 5 months off work due to constantly feeling sick and fatigued. It got so bad at one point that I would have been happy not to have woken up.
Would I change having the treatment – The answer I give is NO as no matter what life throws at you, it is important to try everything.
I have recently been diagnosed and treated for Psoriatic Arthritis that causes extreme pain in my joints in particularly in feet but to be fair that is minimal compared to the M.S pain and I think it is a bit of a side effect from the lack of immune system i have been suffering from.
It is with great relief that I am being treated now for PTSD, anxiety and depression. This is something that I have tried to keep quiet and initially felt ashamed of. With the help of many people I am happy to share my story (more to come regarding this) as a very important person in my life recently explained to me that MY STORY still has new chapters to be written and that I can determine what i would like my next story to be.
I will be posting some more blogs about what has been going on in my life over the next week and be back on track. If you would like to know more about my previous story and what has influenced me to change then please leave some feedback on the blog and follow me.
