14th July 2017
Well the day arrived, all the hard work of getting out of my wheelchair and learning to swing the club again has paid off. I had a Golf Buggy at the ready and I played with Peter from Pier Fun Casinos (Mobile casinos for parties or functions), Henry Morris of Morris Quality Bakery (Amazing Flapjacks) and Darren Wrudd
As it was the Wigan Warriors Golf Day and they Wear Cherry and White Shirts to play rugby (I have followed them since 1984) I decided to wear a black shirt with Red trousers. Unbeknown to me I was issued with a Red T shirt to wear – I looked like Bernhard Langer at the Masters in 1986.
Shaw Hill Golf and Country Club was in fantastic condition and we all played very well including knocking in a couple of 2’s on the par 3s.
The day went fantastic although even with having a buggy my body is now in bits and I am terribly fatigued but excited about being back where I belong. #onthecourse
