Thursday 29th September 2016
I was using my new alarm clock this morning and I have realised that this challenge is definitely taking its toll on me now as I hit the snooze button 3 times this morning as I think my body requires more recovery.
Set off from home and rode into work with Tony Norman who has been another fantastic support for me during this challenge. I cannot tell you how nice it is and how time flies when you are chatting away/
Chris is off work today as he is have his 4 weekly infusion of a drug called Tysabri that supresses his immune system and attempts to stop any more MS lesions forming on his nerves
Well work was again very busy along with receiving some nice emails from the BBC and press wanting to run with the story and will be joining us for the last leg of our bike ride.
I have been in touch with Chris and he is feeling ready to go for the ride tomorrow.
After sorting everything out at work, I left late again and I rode alone for the homeward stretch. When I0 got home again my fantastic Wife had me a lovely meal waiting for me and a nice cold Budweiser in the fridge
On FRIDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2016 which is the FINAL DAY of the challenge – Chris will be riding with me on his Hand-Bike and WE WOULD LOVE FOR AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO JOIN US ON THE RIDE
WE AIM TO SET OFF FROM THE VELODROME (National Cycling Centre) @ 09:00am (meet at 08:30am)
The route is from the National Cycling Centre to just near Ashton Moss Tram (Near to work). The route will be up Ashton Old Road
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME AND JOIN US.
ALSO I know I keep asking but please try to donate whatever you can to this challenge / charity as the money will go towards helping Chris and his Family raise funds to convert the downstairs garage into a bedroom for Chris (This last week he was sleeping on a blow up bed on his own downstairs)
THIS IS A MASSIVE THANK YOU FROM CHRIS & I, FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY DONATED.
